My 7th grade students need to use a practical, hands on approach to computer coding. For our 12-week course, we focus on coding using block and javascript. Students work independently on a lab computer to learn basic skills of ordering, sequencing, loops, etc. By having the Wonder Workshop Cue Robot, students could work collaboratively and learn that coding is practical in so many applications. The Cue would allow my students to use higher level thinking skills and really make connections between their learning and the real world. They may discover a love of coding and a field they want to pursue beyond junior high!
