Being at a Title I school, my dream is to open as many doors as possible for my students and expose them to many different ways of learning through ART. I hope to further inspire their desire to want to continue to always want to learn and create! This year I created a small two-week unit on an artist study. My students were able to learn about the artist, while also learning art terms, shapes, colors, numbers, and the alphabet. Some of the materials we used were the following: Canson Oil Acrylic Pads, Waterproof India Ink, different color cardstock papers, and an assorted colors of oil pastels. We need all of these materials for the next school year. Providing art lessons has been a motivating factor for many of the students to learn the alphabets, numbers, shapes and colors. Art is a great motivator for learning and having fun. I am interested in expanding my students' knowledge with opportunities in education through art by providing my students with visual awareness of their environment and how to learn by using art.
