I deliberately chose titles that will appeal to the wide-range of students I see every day. My current text selection is limited and does not reflect the identities of the students I have sitting in my desks. The titles that I am proposing have main characters of different races, genders, and places in society. I included books that appeal to students who like sci-fi (Divergent Series, The Hunger Games series), sports (Kwame Alexander, Chris Crutcher), non-fiction (I am Malala, Night), and, of course, love (John Green, Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda). The titles that I chose range in ability and point of view. ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½.org is the only way I foresee making my dream classroom library a reality, and I know that acquiring these titles will greatly benefit my students.
