Let's get students reading and contributing to the world around them. My students don't have access to real world news and have a hard time connecting to the world around them. These days students live within the confines of social media. These items will help my students reach their goal of being leaders of society by bridging the disconnect. Scholastic News and dictionaries bring current events to kids in a way that connects them with cultural events around them and help them learn about the language they are studying. Help bring reading alive for students and allow them to become part of society. These students do not have the access that everyone else has the ability to afford. These materials will be used to engage students into nonfiction material and show them there is more to life then what they read on the internet!
