These centers will make a difference in my students engagement in Reading. These materials will create centers that they will want to engage in and learn more about. The hot dots can easily help reach out to students who are struggling with phonics. It allows them to read and be corrected by using a "kid friendly" pen. Reading will become fun and they will be learning without even realizing it.
The listening center is an easy to use center for every child. They can listen to stories come to life by having them read aloud through a CD and headsets. Every student loves story time and this is a very valuable way to incorporate more reading that doesn't seem like "work".
My students love to read and they love learning to read. The hot dots and the listening center will provide a much needed area for my low income students to have access to both technology and reading skills.
My students are in need of more "fun" yet effective centers that are more "hands on". These centers and these materials will provide that for them.
