Students have been able to use digital resources during Covid but mostly from a distance. While some students are able to successfully work a program or project, they lack the communication skills to convey their ideas and collaborate with their peers. Being able to use digital resources in real time while also physically sharing out verbally with their peers will help to mend some of the ill effects of the recent time out of school. To gain this technology exposure, we need an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil.
With the requested iPad and Apple Pencil, all classes will model the Nevada Employability Skills for Career Readiness Standards. [ESCR 1.0]
Computer Science & Technology Concepts
Use a coordinate system to place elements on the screen - sequence code correctly to overlay shapes - debug code written by others. 9-12.AP.M.1,
Computer Science 2 Honors
To create prototypes that use algorithms to solve computational problems. [CS 1.1]
Computer Science 3 AP
To manage program complexity through flow-charting, pseudo-code, coding standards, documentation, and modeling. [CS 5.0]
