My students are creators.
They will work tirelessly to design, write, and produce original content including but not limited to the following projects:
-Set Design - They will use modern programs to designed top-view scaled ground plans like they would in a professional production team. In addition, to help the builders, they will create 3D Scaled Models to ensure their ideas are executed down to the finest detail.
-Lighting Design - Students will be working with modern lighting boards and lighting apparatus to create professional-level lighting plots and cue sheets for the operator.
-Sound Design - Students will analyze shows to create cohesive sound effect cues to bring the world of the play to life.
-Props/Costume/Makeup Design - Students will make professional-level design portfolios of props, costumes, and makeup design on specific productions.
-Personal Monologues - Students will write succinct and compelling personal monologues. They will use the Chromebooks to collaborate and research to prepare to perform.
-Engaging Scenes - Students will write short scenes to learn the complexity of dialogue. They cannot properly format a professional script without the applications to which the Chromebooks will provide access.
-One Act Plays Students will write one act productions to learn the complexity of dialogue, the subtlety of good character archs and plot development. They cannot properly format, draft, or collaborate on a professional script without the applications to which the Chromebooks will provide access.
They need the proper tools to bring their imagination's ideas to life. Be the ones that put the "paintbrush" in their hands.
