If you have ever read a Magic Tree House chapter book, then you know that Jack and Annie are always looking for adventure. My students have enjoyed the two books I have read aloud to them and are hooked on their adventures! I began using these Magic Tree House books as an after lunch, calming activity that correlates to my social studies standards. Little did I know that they would get engulfed in the adventure and history.
Now, it is my third grade’s that will be going on the adventure! Just like Jack, taking notes in his notebook, on all of his exciting endeavors, my students will use the notebooks and pencils to be their own crusaders!
I am also adding the box sets of the Magic Tree House series to add to my very small classroom library. I would like to give my students the opportunity to check them out from my library and continue their love of learning at home.
