All of my students love to participate in the art making process. The pandemic has made it difficult for many of my online learners to engage in the process because of their lack of art supplies. I am doing everything in my power to make sure that each of them get their own individual art kit filled with the basic art materials. These kits will allow them to create art along with their peers in the classroom. The art classroom is a community that can unfortunately no longer use communal supplies as it is not safe. With your help, I can put together art kits that they can use at home so they can still participate in art.
It is my hope that my online artist are able to feel connected to their peers at school by making the same works of art from home. I believe it is vital for their social emotional wellness to feel a part of our school, and making art will truly help bring us together.
