My students are in a very low income neighborhood that has a history of gang problems. The goal for my students is simple; help them to dream big and graduate from college. In my class, it is a great deal of hands on science learning by working on projects and experimenting. These class activities help my students to learn to love science and hopefully will pursue a science degree in college. We need more students to understand and pursue science in the future to help solve our problems. I believe that my class inspires students to travel down that path.
