Ukuleles for one on one student use will give the students a chance to experience what they may learn in and orchestral class. Since they get the band experience with recorders/Orff instruments and choir experience through group songs, this would give them the opportunity to experience all 3 types of group music making! I found that having 5th graders do recorders for a 2nd year caused a lot of classroom management issues. They either already knew everything I was teaching or they did not receive recorder education at the school the came from before attending in our district. Please help our kids at RCS!!!
