Feeling safe and welcome is a key factor in allowing students to learn to the most of their ability. ESL and newcomer students already have a feeling of discomfort throughout their day to day lives because of a lack of miscommunication or understanding. This classroom rug will help make my classroom space more inviting and colorful. The classroom rug will help in "coloring my students world" by allowing them to have a nice and colorful space to have fun while learning. Comfort and inclusivity are key components to my teaching belief. This rug will be a great addition to my classroom in allowing the classroom community to foster such beliefs.
