The elementary school where I teach art is an urban school with a primarily low-income population. Many of the school's students come from an underprivileged background. Projects such as the lessons I have posted help improve the achievement of underprivileged students. Funds available for art education in the State of Nevada are limited. The supplies for this project can go a long way at the school in which I teach. The art supplies will be used for this project and for many others throughout the year.
