My students need chromebooks so they are able to access speech and language services. Speech is currently done via teletherapy, because we are unable to find enough speech therapists in the district. Our current laptops are over 5 years old, which causes them to freeze and disrupts the session. Our students have emotional disabilities due to past traumas and so need incentives to encourage them to put forth their best effort at school. Part of our incentive program includes an earned "Fun Friday", during which time students are able to choose a snack and drink. The snack packs, fun size candy, and juice boxes and Gatorade would help us to continue to encourage students to be their best. The binders will be used by students to help them self-assess and allow them to track their own academic and behavioral data. Most of our students come from low income households and their families struggle to provide the necessary school supplies, so we provide all of them for them. This often comes out of the staff's pocket.
