Currently, my first grade classroom has old desks that need to be replaced. I am requesting these whiteboard flower tables because they will allow my students to use their creativity and make learning engaging, active, collaborative and fun!
First, my students love to use dry erase markers and whiteboards throughout the day so this is an engaging tool to help facilitate learning in my classroom. Also, this will also allow my students to be active in their learning since they are the ones that are actively practicing the skills and concepts on the tabletops. Additionally, they can collaboratively work with a small group, independently, or with a partner using these tables. Whiteboard work in all subject areas is fun!
More specifically, here are SOME of the ways these tables will benefit my first graders and impact their learning process! One of the tables will be used for my teacher's assistant to teach spelling in small groups! My students can rainbow write their sight words on their table top. They can sound out their words by practicing spelling their spelling words during spelling and unknown words too during writing time. They can draw a picture to explain their vocabulary words for the week. They will be able to draw and show their understanding of math concepts by drawing and writing their ideas. The options are endless with these whiteboard tables! Thank you in advance for thinking of my first graders! They are truly a fabulous group of kiddos!
