A Scholastic News subscription would not only interest my first graders, but they would be able to practice reading the magazines as well. By donating to our project you are providing an important non fiction piece to these young students that are lacking in younger grades. My students will be able to transition from learning to read to reading to learn in a very meaningful way. Non fiction texts are lacking in primary grades. That’s where Scholastic News is an enjoyable subscription that the students look forward to delving into! They will quench their curiosity for learning with age appropriate information!
