I am requesting basic kitchen supplies and blenders for my students to use to prepare the food that we grow in our garden for tasting.
Students will be able to participate in all parts of the gardening process and will be able to take the plant from the seed all the way to their seat at the tasting table.
It is amazing to see what young students are willing to eat when they grow it from a small seed. These supplies will be used with multiple grades so students can participate in practical problem solving. An example of this is, how many students can we feed with one turnip? Students will have the opportunity to taste things for the first time and share their new experiences.
