I'm currently using a large, plastic picnic table in my tiny closet of a room. I am wanting something a little bit smaller, with a rounded shape to use the space more efficiently, while simultaneously creating an inviting space for my autistic friends!
The kidney table will also allow my students to make eye contact with each other more easily, fostering a better communicative environment. I don't want to hyperbolize the importance of a piece of wood. Lord knows us Speechies will do therapy on the floor if we have to ( most of us have)! However, I do believe a new table will accomplish the pragmatic issue of maximizing therapy efficiency
