Most of my students come from low income families.
Recently, I discovered that one of my students and some of their peers are homeless and living in a motel. We do not allow the way they live to affect the way they learn. Although some days that is easier said than done, we work it out the best way we know how. Our class is filled with racial and academic diversity but that does not stop us from working hard and respecting each other. My students come to school excited to see what creative idea I have for them each day. Everyday is not going to be the same but they come eager to see how I am going to make learning different and fun.
