Due to Covid-19, I am currently teaching my young readers two days each week and they are learning from home three days a week. I am working hard to develop their ability to blend words and to read leveled books. I also enjoy reading aloud to my students to model reading fluency and to discuss story elements. Not only do these read-aloud teach my students the necessary reading skills, but they foster excitement about reading. These holiday books will provide each of my students and their families with materials they can use over the break to continue read-aloud time. Being able to gift my students' books of their very own will allow me to strengthen the bond I have with my students and their families.
