These two mannequins will be used in our costume shop to help kids create one of a kind costumes, clothing, and alteration projects. The students will be working on 4 stage productions this year as well as sewing projects for class (a pair of pajama pants for the 1st level students and a onesie for the 2nd level students) and personal side projects. These forms will help them in all of these endeavors!
Our current mannequins were all second-hand donations; they are torn and the bases have been broken over the last 15 years of classroom use. They are either in terrible condition or they are not adjustable, requiring the clothing that we make/alter on them to be the exact size of the mannequin. This has made it very difficult when instructing students in the techniques that are required for making garments. Any help that you can offer towards this fundraising goal is greatly appreciated and I am so looking forward to teaching these wonderful students the skills that they need to know to make clothing!
