In my Family and Consumer Science class, students will be learning basic sewing skills to create projects to help benefit those in our community. They will learn how to sew pillows, pillowcase dresses, blankets, bears, and other things to donate to local nursing homes and foster children. Not only will students learn sewing skills that will help them in life but they will also learn how to give to those in need around them. The items donated will make an impact on the children and elderly who will be the recipients of the handmade items.
