In previous years, our students shared keyboards in our general music class. Due to Covid, we can only have one student playing a piano at a time. Currently, our school only has 10 working keyboards for our school and with the hybrid schedule, it is possible for each student to have a piano. Once we return to prime instruction, we will no longer have enough pianos for each student.
Music class allows students to be expressive and motivates them to find themselves. Past students have told me that the few weeks they have in my class learning to play piano, are often the best times they had that semester. Students are able to relax, create, and have fun in my class playing the pianos. There is a pride not found in any other class when they learn how to play the melody or chord progression to their favorite song!
Please help me continue to inspire these middle schoolers throughout this pandemic!!
