We are experiencing major erosion issues in our outdoor garden area (Hurricanes band in the Piedmont!)
Students have collaborated to create a dry creek bed in our garden to help save our soil. 5th graders have measured the effected area and researched materials. Rocks! We just need lots and lots of Rock. 5th graders learn about erosion issues & preventions. 4th graders learn how water force is so powerful that landscapes can be changed overnight. 3rd graders see how ecosystems can be effected by loss of types of soil and how thoughtful design of rock can help. Appropriate Landscaping plants will also be added to enhance our new exploration area.
