Every year our third grade team teaches a unit on biographies. At the end of the unit, we conclude by students performing their own wax museum.
Students use digital and print resources to conduct research on the individual. I am asking for six class sets of the Who Was? nonfiction biography books. There will be one for each of our six third grade classrooms, of 24 different "Who was" books (Who Was King Tut) pertaining to historical figures. This will allow third grade students to have hands-on research to read, learn, and discover interesting information about their historical figure.
As a culminating activity, the students will present their research through a live wax museum. Students will create a presentation board and dress in costume.
