High school students will have the opportunity to join a book club promoting empathy and social justice. Our book club aims to link up with authors, activists, and other teen groups from around the country, in order to gain a deeper understanding of the issues that face us in today's society. We will explore inequalities in America and around the world in order to educate ourselves, empathize with those in different circumstances, and promote ways to make a difference. The book club will meet monthly during our school advisory period and students will be able to keep their books. Faculty are also encouraged to purchase their own books and join the discussion.
