For the past four years I have been teaching second grade and I am now teaching third grade. Even though it is not a huge jump, I have no materials for third grade. With that being said, my classroom library is not up to par for third graders. Luckily for me I am looping with my students from last year and they all love to read. At the end of the school year I had quite a few of students ready to read chapter books. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their grade level. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them to continue to enjoy reading independently. I would like for my students to be comfortable while they are reading. Not only do my students like to read independently but they LOVE to read to each other!
