This furniture will provide my students with the ability to choose seating and participate more actively in flexible grouping. Students who struggle with seating still will have now be able to move and change seating. Which will eliminate possible behavior issues that takes away from their learning time. They can move their flexible seating to collaborate, take part in independent reading and stations.
Giving students more choice will help empower them to make better choices and be more successful. Having choices helps them become 21 Century learners. Research has shown that alternative seating also helps increase student engagement. Having higher engagement students will be more active and self driven learners.
