We need butterfly sanctuaries, live larvae and food. The butterfly kits include the materials to transfer the larvae into individual containers, provide food and a habitat. This will allow students to observe the life cycle of butterflies for a hands-on learning experience. This project is deeply embedded with STEM activities, which will provide increased learning experiences and engagement of students in all grades.
Our hope is to eventually create outdoor gardens to not include a habitat for nature's creatures, but also give our students the experience of growing their own vegetables and herbs to be used in our cafeteria.
