Growing up in an high poverty, urban environment, most of my students do not have access to high quality materials to build their science, math, and engineering knowledge. I would like to provide STEM work tubs for students to begin their day with. Starting their mornings with hands on materials and educational partner discussions will turn their brains on and help them get ready for the busy day ahead. I would also like to share Scholastic Monthly Magazines with my class as a way to teach important current events going on in our world. Students need to see how what’s going on relates to them and how they can effect change in their world.
