My student are learning to read and count. With tablets in our class they can use many applications that will help them In learning to blend sounds, reading sight words, and eventually reading fluently. There are beginner apps for letter recognition, letter sounds, rhyming songs and so on. Another reason would be all the apps they can use for number recognition, counting, adding and subtracting. Not to mention all the critical thinking games. The technology may also be used for a reward for my students of special needs. We also have a fun Friday in which students may use them for fun.
