I am a first-year Kindergarten teacher in need of supplies! My Kindergartners need chair storage pockets so that their materials can be accessed quickly and easily while they are working! If you know/have a five year-old, you know that transitions aren't the easiest thing for them.
Having everything they need for independent work near them teaches them responsibility for their belongings, and means less interruptions during instruction. Materials that will be stored in our chair pockets include, but are not limited to: Our poetry books, "Ketchup folders" in which we store unfinished work we need to catch up on, leveled readers, white boards and expo markers, "No Peeking" folders for students who want more privacy while working, math and literacy workbooks, and so much more!
With chair pockets, "I can't find my..." will be a saying of the past! Less time looking for your math workbook and more time actually working in it! Yay!
