Students love playing games and using dice in the classroom. They love working in centers and especially playing games during that time. Students will be excited to use these materials which will assist in both engagement and motivation when working independently or in small groups.
Using the Versatiles as well as the math games program and dice will allow my students the opportunity to participate in math in a fun and unique way. Kids love dice. Being able to bring them games with the use of the different kinds of dice will motivate them to stay on task and will allow them to do harder computation since some of the dice are numbered beyond six. The book contains various games that promote the skills students are expected to know in the numbers and operations as well as the algebraic thinking standards required in 3rd grade.
