My students are always looking for a great book to read during their independent reading time and Book Clubs. Having a variety of genres to read throughout the school year will enable them to grow as individual, readers, and learners.
All of these books have been chosen with my students' interests, cultures, backgrounds, and reading levels in mind. These are genres they whole-heartedly enjoy and constantly ask for more books similar. Using these books in my Book Clubs this coming school year will enhance discussions as they learn about history, mythology, cultural and social issues, and even classics, as well as continue their enjoyment and love of reading.
