I believe that it is important to give a well balanced music program to the students. This can be provided through singing, movement and playing instruments. These ukuleles will provide my students with many opportunities to not only learn about music, but also to express themselves. Being a Title 1 campus limits the funding for fine arts. The funding of this project will allow my students an opportunity to play the ukulele instrument.
These ukuleles will give my students a creative outlet while building confidence and encouraging teamwork. My students will play the ukuleles to accompany themselves at school programs and community events. Adding ukulele to my curriculum will benefit my students allowing them to keep their interest in music after they leave elementary school.
