I have taught for 24 years and have spent the last 4 years teaching Transitional Kindergarten. Most of the educational toys and manipulatives I have are dated hand me downs that I have acquired from retired teachers. I would love to be able to provide my current and future students with updated classroom items. My classroom has plenty of space for new educational toys, manipulatives, art projects, creative play areas, STEAM activities and more. I am so excited to fill my walls with student work and foster an environment for creativity, learning and social and emotional learning. Approximately 85% of school age children in my area are socioeconomically disadvantaged. This places a heavier responsibility on me to ensure that every student is catered to in order to achieve academic success and social and emotional growth.
