These materials will a provide a multi-sensory approach for students to build social skills, encourage creativity, foster independence, play, and LEARN!!! The dollhouse set will be used during dramatic play activities to teach and model appropriate play, as well as to learn more about our world. Dramatic play teaches social skills, self-regulation, language development, fine motor skills, and adaptive skills. Kinetic sand is a therapeutic tool, useful for sensory exploration and strengthening fine motor skills. Art supplies are always a plus! Painting, drawing, sculpting, etc. can reduce stress, nurture self-expression, and promote student confidence. I cannot wait to use these materials to benefit my students daily!
