Kindergarten students learn SO much through hands-on activities and exploration. STEM activities provide opportunities for all students to explore and problem solve in the classroom. In the world of education, we are seeing more and more students unable to think deeply. STEM activities enable the children to discover a problem and become problem solvers in the classroom!
STEM activities challenge students and allow them to think freely in the classroom!
Along with opening up opportunities for students to freely think, STEM activities provide many hands-on learning experiences for students that might otherwise not get them. Children are encouraged to build, discover, and engage in several hands-on experiences on a daily basis in the classroom.
Through this project I will be purchasing a 3Doodler Pen to practice writing letters, numbers and sight words. I would also be purchasing multiple types of building blocks including magnetic blocks, LEGO bricks, Tinkertoys, Straws & Connectors, and more! Another item I will be purchasing is an Osmo Genius Kit that works alongside of an iPad allowing students to create and imagine to the max! All of these items will provide hands-on learning/creating experiences in my classroom.
