Our school district is nestled in a rural area and is made up of many high poverty students. This can hinder their experiences and opportunities if we allow it to. I want to give my students everything they deserve and need to succeed in the future, and part of that is exposing them to new technology.
I am hoping to add a new iPod listening station to our classroom. This will be a great way to incorporate technology and books into their daily activity.
They will be able to choose from many more books than I could ever offer them on my own and they will also be introduced to technology in a fun and inviting way. Technology is a part of their educational future and the more comfortable they become with it, the more successful they will be in higher grades.
