My students will benefit from using Chromebooks in my Deaf and Hard of Hearing classroom. The two requested HP Chromebooks will enable them to access sign language websites, ASL storytelling and I-Ready math & reading lessons. My students learn visually and the Chromebooks will allow them to access visual information. Some of my students' use Assistive Listening Devices (ALD) that can connect their hearing aids/ cochlear implants directly to the Chromebooks. Therefore, allowing my students to access auditory information from websites.
Technology is vitally important in today's classrooms and my students will be able to learn to type, practice math games and watch stories being read to them using sign language.
It is my goal to eventually enable each of my students to have their own Chromebook. Thanks for supporting us towards this goal.
