I have so enjoyed the process of changing careers from a science lab to a school. My love of science is reflected all throughout these items, from decorative effects like rugs, lamps, and curtains to my chair-alternative, the human kickstand. Other items like colored paper, pencils, and glue help meet basic needs not provided by my school. I didn't come to teaching in "normal" manner. My room will reflect those differences in a way that hopefully welcomes all my students and their differences too. It's okay to love what you love, and for me, love of students and of science go hand in hand.
