These books will provide engaging opportunities for my students to discuss race and justice and inclusion even through digital learning.
Reading aloud these books and hearing the perspectives of the authors, conversing about the issues brought to light, and critically thinking about real-life applications regularly will allow my students to become comfortable identifying injustice when they see it. These books will give my students access to words and vocabulary to express their feelings more readily and help them process the events they are witnessing in their own lives and in the news.
