The carpet area will provide the opportunity for students to come together to meet, greet, and share with their peers each and every day. Our morning meeting will begin at the carpet, providing each student his/ her own assigned color. Knowing the color he/ she is assigned to will aid student understanding of personal space and provide a sense of belonging. Much time throughout the school day will be spent on the carpet; morning meeting, interactive learning utilizing the smart board, story time, social play and team building activities. Students may also relax on the carpet during quiet time; providing students with opportunities to regroup, unwind, and prepare for the rest of the full school day.
