Third grade is were a student is expected to read and comprehend what they are reading which is something they don't like to do. But imagine how inviting it would be to have this child-sized couch to curl up on while enjoying a book by themself! My students don't want to spend more time sitting at their desks; center time is their chance to choose a comfortable working spot all around the room. The problem is that right now we don't have many cozy spots. I know that if I fix this seating problem with a child-sized couch, my students will be flocking to the reading corner in no time!
