My students need frequent transitions to help better focus on tasks and stay engaged with each activity. The carpet area is vital to learning and the classroom enviroment.
It is used for morning meetings, math activities, spelling practice, as well as a gathering class for discussions throughout other lessons.
The carpet area in our classroom is currently small squares cut from a strip of Velcro, allowing students to stay in their own personal space. With these rug carpet spots, students would be able to have their personal learning space and a quick way to identify where they need to be.
