These books will help my students build confidence. They are so smart that it's difficult for them to not be able to express themselves at the same high level they are used to. These novels will help them build confidence because the books are written for learners like them. My classroom library will be something students really enjoy. Already with the limited books that I have, we have had storytime on the floor, acted out scenes from our favorite books, and the students have read independently! All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind-I have listened to them and considered their interests. These books cover themes like friendship, relationships, being abroad for the first time, being at a new school, and more. Students will be able to choose books they like, which will help them to enjoy independent reading time. With our new library, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books which allows them to read independently at their own level of Spanish. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already show an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences by providing them with interesting resources in Spanish.
