Learning English requires reason, writing, listening, and speaking. By providing this communication area in my room, students can learn how to effectively communicate with others by learning to listen and speak in a group. Having this designated area gives students a visual area to distance, while the group works on these essential skills. This area can also provide all students with a comfortable place to learn about making eye contact while talking with others. This is a lifelong skill that can help students as adults in the area of employment.
