The students will be able to use the magnetic numbers set to build, recognize and make groups up to 10 in learning station. These math sets will allow my students to build fluency and automaticity. The station are bright and inviting. The magnetic numbers will allow my students a chance to order numbers and create number bonds. The students will be able to understand the value and the quantity that numbers represent by using the ten frame mats. The students will be able to see how digits are used to create numbers. In many case students can rote count but lack the concept of the value of numbers. I hope by adding these stations to my classroom my students will become number champs and build number fluency.
