If this project is funded, many students would have the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument.
Each instrument would find its way into students' hands, where they would immediately begin music instruction in-school. I would be able to start teaching students to play the Yamaha Venova instruments, which would allow them to eventually transition to the clarinet or saxophone. These instruments are used to introduce playing a musical instrument to a student who has not played before. Students who wish to continue would have the opportunity to do so once they have expressed the interest to do so.
Any student who completes the Yamaha Venova course has the opportunity to join the Marching Band or Concert Band program in our district.
