Kindergarten students learn best through play. There is a wealth of research to support this. Play is vital to brain development and provides growth in all aspects: academic, social, emotional, physical, and cultural. Students' imaginations are the key to helping them become successful adults. We have limited funding and our classroom would greatly benefit from the addition of a dramatic play area that will allow my students to have materials to build with and aid motor development, increase language and social skills, and foster strong friendships.
Our kindergartners will have frequent opportunities to learn through play and develop into successful learners.
